Man suffers an asthma attack after seeing his ex-girlfriend “befriend” other guys on Facebook
November 19th, 2010 - 9:23 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattNaples, Nov 19 (THAINDIAN NEWS) An 18 year old man suffered an asthma attack after he saw his ex-girlfriend’s updates on the social networking site Facebook.
Apparently, his girlfriend dumped him and his girlfriend also removed him from her friends list. She also started befriending other people on Facebook and this caused immense distress to her dumped boyfriend. In fact his stress levels shot up so much that he suffered an asthma attack too.
The person in question hasn’t been identified, but he seems to be an online stalker for sure. And that is because he created a new online identity after being dumped and got himself added to his girlfriend’s Facebook’s friends list once again, so that he could stalk on her online activities. And he was amazed to see that she was befriending more people and having a nice time.
“Somehow, when the mind is under pressure or stress, some people are prone toward asthma attacks; these are people who really are susceptible to stress. To me, for that man, social stress triggers an asthma attack. I’ve never heard of Facebook causing it, but I could see that happening,” according to Dr. Neil L. Kao.
