Port Richey, Fla., Dec 23 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A robber returned to his beer at a bar just moments after he had robbed a bank nearby. Sheriffs say the 52-year-old suspect was identified at the bar.

Deputies say John Robin Whittle had bought the beer at the Hayloft Bar in Port Richey before he went in to rob the bank. He took cash from the Wells Fargo & Co. branch at the town. When he escaped from the bank, officers say Whittle went back to the bar to finish up his beer. That was when he was spotted and arrested.

The incident happened on Thursday afternoon. Police say they were able to track and arrest Whittle just 10 minutes after he left the bank. He is currently being held in jai.

A bartender at the bar narrated that Whittle was earlier at the place but disappeared for about 30 minutes just after he placed his order. They say he returned later to his beer and that was when the deputies walked in and arrested him.

He is currently being held on a $10,000 bail bond. As at Friday, Whittle was still in jail because he has not been able to come up with the bail money.
