Man called 911 for beer

The police arrested a Bridgeport man and charged him with misusing the emergency number. Investigators say the man, 65-year-old Raymond Roberge, called the emergency number thrice on Sunday. According to the police, when the emergency workers arrived at his address, they saw the man resting in his house. When the police inquired about his reason for calling 911, the man told the emergency workers that he will pay them if they will keep him company. He also told the cops that he wants them to get some beer for him. He was arrested for the false alarm.
The police reports that the man has called the emergency number 79 times this year alone and all the calls have turned out to be false alarms. He had previously been warned by the police but when it became apparent that he wouldn’t change, the police arrested him and charged him with the offense.
He was released on a $500 bail bond and is expected to appear before a court in a later date.
