Man breaks into home to put up Christmas decorations
November 17th, 2011 - 1:13 am ICT by Aishwarya BhattOhio, Nov 16 (THAINDIAN NEWS) For breaking into someone’s home, an Ohio man has been placed in custody. A family returned to their house and had the shock of their lives when they saw a burglar making himself comfortable at their home. Interestingly the stranger had decorated the family Christmas tree!
The family has not found anything missing in the house but the law does not permit anyone break into another person’s house no matter how good the intention is.
The police say 44-year-old Terry Trent entered into the house through the back door. He made himself comfortable in the sofa and watched some television until the family came in to find him. The police say it was the 11-year-old son of the owners who saw the man sitting in the sofa. He called his mother and the police.
Police say when Trent saw the boy, he acted polite and said that, “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to scare you. I’ll get my things and go.”
Trent was picked up and a run of his records revealed that he has previous drug charges. The authorities have charged him with breaking in and are due to appear before a court at a later date.
