Man bites police dog’s ear off

Wilmington, June 20 (THAINDIAN NEWS) In some bizarre news, a man bit off the ear of a police dog. Apparently the police were on the lookout for a suspect and the suspect was doing his best to knock the police off his tail. And in this endeavor he bit off the ear of a police dog also.

The police officials were on the lookout for a suspect in a weekend shooting case. They had received some valuable tip off about the suspect – Travis Keith Glaspie’s whereabouts and they were chasing him. The police dog was hot on Keith’s trail when he was bit.

The police dog in question is Maxx and he had to be administered medical aid. The doctors at the veterinary hospital stitched his ear back on.

Later the suspect, 22 years old Travis Keith was booked on numerous charges, which are assault on a law enforcement animal, resisting arrest, assault on a police officer, property damage and possession of a controlled substance. The judge also announced a bond of $1 million for Travis.
