Pennsylvania, Feb 17 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A 43-year-old man who deliberately went after female workers to harass them sexually on the phone has been arrested.

The man, Rip Alan Swartz, gave himself to the police after his calls were traced. Investigators say the man placed several calls to some companies all over the United States in search of female workers. During the last five years, Swartz sometimes made as much as 400 calls in a day in a bid to get a female worker to discuss sexually explicit conversations about pantyhose.

Swartz has been given bail and he would remain free as long as he doesn’t go anywhere near some companies. He is facing charges in Cumberland and Dauphin counties.

Swartz does not have any definitive numbers that he makes the calls from. According to the police, he would just come up with a random number and hope that he gets to talk to a female on the other side of the telephone. Records however showed that Swartz sometimes called particular numbers multiple times just to harass an unfortunate female worker whom he had spoken to earlier.

He is due in court later to answer charges of the prank calls.
