London, Mar 5 (THAINDIAN NEWS) An Oxford University student has been criticized for trying to win a union contest using sexist approach. The 19-year-old undergraduate bared her chest in her campaign to get the vote for the Union Librarian contest.

In her manifesto, Madeleine showed some revealing pictures with the words, “I don’t hack, I just have a great rack.”

Critics have taken a swipe at the manifesto. The student paper Cherwell wrote that, “Whilst this manifesto is clearly meant to be humorous, it shows a distinct lack of judgement. It is disappointing to see female members of committee campaigning on the back of gender at all, let alone in a way which promotes the use of sexuality. The suggestion that anyone should be voted in on such a basis is deeply offensive to both male and female voters and is also very damaging to the perception of the women associated with the Union.”

She is promoting her campaign on the Internet as well. She posted some images on her Facebook account which showed her showing her breast. The campaign is seen as an indictment on the image of Oxford which is seen as the most prestigious university of the United Kingdom.

Madeleine is a former model and studied at the St Hilda’s College.
