sbdrugbust June 27, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): The law enforcement officials in Southern California had stopped a tractor-trailer due to its infringement of traffic regulations. What happened then was that the officials could experience a pungent smell of marijuana. This smell of marijuana enabled the officials to unearth a massive $45 million worth of drugs in the back of the tractor-trailer in question.

After bringing the tractor-trailer to a halt on Wednesday, the law enforcement assistants unlocked the trailer. This step was adopted after they detected inconsistencies with the paperwork for the load. This data was provided by the workplace of the Sheriff of the San Bernardino County.

An overwhelming odor ensured that the law enforcement officials found approximately 20 tons of narcotics. These were hidden in the back of the truck. The catalog of drugs consisted of a huge 38,000 pounds of marijuana, a sizable 2700 pounds of cocaine and 67 pounds of methamphetamine. This data was given by the workplace of the sheriff.

Sheriff Rod Hoops has declared that this drug bust was one of the biggest in the history of the county.

The driver of the truck happened to be Fernando Luevano. He has been detained and indicted with the ownership, haulage and vending of illegal drugs.
