Kangaroo ‘embarks on lingerie looting spree’ in Prague
August 24th, 2011 - 9:23 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattPrague, Aug 24 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A 2-year-old kangaroo in Prague seems to have a taste for lingerie. The animal named Benji reportedly escaped from its owner by scaling the wall. Once the animal was free, it went on what is now being described as “lingerie looting spree.”
A neighbor spotted the animal trying to escape with its loot. The animal was captured and returned to the owner who had earlier reported to the police that the animal was missing. The police had already received several reports of stolen underwear. The police can now put together the puzzle to know who was actually taking the lingerie off the lines!
A spokesperson told local reporters that, “We had a call from Benji’s owner saying his pet kangaroo had escaped. At the same time we started getting reports of a number of thefts from washing lines. We didn’t think they could possibly be related until he was caught red-handed.”
The owner of Benji is relieved that the animal is back in his possession. 35-year-old Petr Hlabovic said that, “I’m very relieved to have him back. I’ve got no idea what he thought he was up to - he certainly didn’t pick up the habit from me.”
Kangaroos are among the most intelligent animals in the world.
