boatAug 11, (THAINDIAN NEWS) An old proverb says that it is all fun and games until someone gets hurt. In Southeastern Idaho the incident started as a joke which ultimately took away four lives. Four men, Darrel Shappart, 57, 26-year-old Jared Hale, 30-year-old Aaron Hale, and 30-year-old Stephan Verbeck were on a boat with five children when one of them pushed the other into the water at the American Falls Reservoir in Power County, Idaho which resulted in the fateful death by drowning.

The five children (aged between 2-9) on the boat called for help to police. The Police after investigation found out after interrogating the children that the man who was pushed into water did not know how to swim, hence the other three men also jumped in to the water to save him. The sheriff said that none of these men were wearing any life jackets though they had plenty of life jackets on boat. The four men, who had been drowned and missing since last Sunday, their dead bodies were found yesterday in the American Falls Reservoirs as Power County, Idaho Sheriff Jim Jeffries reported.

Previously the Power County Sheriff department said that they cannot confirm about any death till they discover the bodies. The families and friends of the concerned four men were shocked to hear the news and were left mourning. Power County, Idaho, Sheriff Jim Jeffries said that the four men were “horsing around” in a boat on a southern Idaho reservoir. The incident brought in a wave of sorrow more because there were enough vests for all four adult men but none of them were wearing it.
