Jemma Benjamin dies after her first kiss
February 10th, 2011 - 8:13 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattLondon, Feb 10 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Teenager Jemma Benjamin shared a passionate first kiss with her boyfriend and then suddenly died. Her boyfriend – 21 years old Daniel got the shock of his life when he saw that all of a sudden Jemma fell down on the sofa and collapsed.
He tried his best to revive her and save her life, but he was unable to do so. He even called the paramedics and by the time they arrived, Jemma was no more. Later an inquest was heard over her death and it was determined that Jemma died because of a rare heart condition.
According to reports she was suffering from SADS - Sudden Arrhythmic Death syndrome. It is said to be a very rare condition that claims the lives of over 500 people in UK in a year.
Her boyfriend said that, “It was not a sexual relationship but we saw each other a couple of times a week. We were going to go to a bar for some food and went back to my house for a credit card, which I had forgotten. We were talking and ended up kissing in the hallway by the front door. We went into the kitchen and then the living room and Jemma sat down on the sofa.”
