Harold Landry killed his wife so that she didn’t benefit from the divorce settlement
February 16th, 2011 - 8:44 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattPershore, Feb 16 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Harold Landry is one miser, to say the least! He was about to divorce his wife Lucy, but at the same time he didn’t want her to benefit financially from the divorce, so he stabbed her to death.
The American businessman however denies the murder totally. He says that he did kill his wife, but he shouldn’t be charged with murder. However the court records tell a different tale. There are reports that he stabbed her 23 times and eventually hit her with a granite rolling pin and then simply left her to die.
There are also reports that he was having an affair and thus wanted to divorce his wife, but at the same time he didn’t want to pay her a penny.
Lucy was 25 years younger to Harold and they both had met online. Lucy was an inhabitant of Wales and Harold was based in the US. There was some chemistry between them so Harold traveled all the way from US to meet her. Eventually they got married. Things started unraveling in August 2009, when Harold started having an affair with another woman. Lucy was also involved with another guy and they both wanted a divorce.
