London, Aug 17 (THAINDIAN NEWS) An immigration officer was shocked to find her house occupied a group of Romanian Gypsies. Not only had they moved into her house but the squatters had also made themselves comfortable by emptying the freezer in the kitchen and wearing the clothes of the owner. When the squatters made themselves comfortable in her house, the immigration officer was away at the Proms.

55-year-old Julia High was even offered a wine by the gypsies when she got back into the house. The only problem is that the wine was one of those bought by High.

High returned to find her house in a mess. The carpets were ripped off from the floor and her personal things were wrapped up and placed at the backyard of the house. The gypsy family was made up of five grownups and three children. According to them they “bought” the house from a son of High.

When they were asked to prove their claim, the gypsies produced a document which turned out to be fake. To make matters worse, High does not have a son. The squatters were thrown out of the house but they didn’t move far.

The family found another apartment just two streets away. The new house belongs to a doctor. The owner reportedly bought the apartment in March and plans to move into the house when repairs have been completed.
