Munich, Dec 23 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A German gas company was forced to apologize to a customer after they sent him a bill of nearly €30,000. The customer said the amount was one thousand times the average that he pays.

Mario Romanowski was caught off balance when he was handed a gas bill of €29,665.25. The gas company said the bill was the usage of gas by Mario over the period October 1 and December 7. Gasag, one of the major gas suppliers in Germany, indicated on the bill that Mario had used a total of 497,437 kilowatts of energy.

Mario laughed that off saying that much of energy would set his kitchen ablaze. He said that, “I worked out that this would be six kilowatts per minute…Our kitchen would theoretically be glowing.”

Gasag has since admitted the error was from their end. A company spokesperson says the meter of Mario was misread leading to the error. The spokesperson indicated that the company has since made the correction and apologized to Mario.

Mario is not satisfied with just “sorry.” He told local reporters that he is going to sue the company for putting him through “psychological terror.”

Gasag has disconnected Mario because he currently owes the company.
