Boston, Mar 23 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A former public bathroom in Boston has gotten a new lease at life after it was turned into a small eatery. The former public bathroom now boasts of the address of a new sandwich eatery.

It might upset some people that they are getting a sandwich from the very place where once upon a time, people used to relieve themselves. However it is prudent to mention that even though the public bathroom was built in the 1920’s yet it wasn’t used in the recent times.

The new eatery is quite small as it is just 660-square-foot in area and it is the new location for the ‘Earl of Sandwich’ subsidiary. People who want to sit and have some service at the shop are going to be disappointed as it is just a takeout joint.

The shop is all set to open its doors in late 2011 or perhaps even in early 2012. The city officials have already granted the Florida based company a lease of 15 years and Boston Parks Department Commissioner Toni Pollak revealed that their basic intention behind the project was to preserve the historic structure while at the same time breathe some new life into it as well.
