Flying trampoline brings down power line
January 5th, 2012 - 10:00 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattLondon, Jan 5 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A dog was killed when a trampoline got stuck on a power line. Severe storm got the trampoline up the power line. The owners of the dog say the animal was electrocuted when it stood in a puddle.
The trampoline was carried onto the power line from a garden in the neighborhood. Dick Pritchard, owner of the dog, told reporters that he had earlier taken his children to the school when he returned to witness the sad incident in his house.
Dick told reporters that when he tried to help the dog, the animal bit him. He had to be given tetanus jab at the hospital for the bite that he took from the animal.
Dick narrated that, “I went into the house and told my wife Rosie’s dead. We’d had Rosie for nine years, we’re very upset.”
Britain has been hit be severe storm recently. The country’s meteorologists warn that citizens should brace themselves for more severe storms in the upcoming days. One man has already been killed in the storm.
Police say 51-year-old Christopher Hayes was crashed by a falling tree as he drove in the storm. The family has been informed of the tragedy and they have asked for privacy.
