Montana, Feb 7 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A man’s act of “generosity” earned him some blows when his act was misinterpreted.

The man who was not identified in the report was said to have tried to give a dog a biscuit. The dog’s owner wouldn’t have any of it because he thought the man wanted to poison his canine. He reportedly grabbed the man and slammed him against his fence.

A police report was made and the dog owner has currently been charged with misdemeanor assault.

Livingstone Police Chief Darren Raney told reporters that he believed the fracas was as a result of misunderstanding. He told the Livingstone Enterprise that the dog’s owner believed that the other man wanted to poison his dog. However as it later turned out, he was just trying to be nice to the dog. It was also not clear why it was so important for him to feed another person’s pet without his permission.

The dog owner is due in court but the other man according to the report was not injured.

The morale of the story though is that people should learn not to feed animals that are not theirs. If for nothing, it will save them from blows.
