Facebook wedding photo leads to polygamy charge

If you thought that would never happen then you guessed wrong because a man has found himself at the wrong side of the law after his wife turned him in to the police for polygamy. The man was so dumb to post images of what seems like a wedding ceremony with another woman on Facebook. When the wife saw the shocking pictures, she alerted the police leading to the arrest of the man.
Richard Barton Jr. married back in 2004 to a Rhode Island woman but vanished from his matrimonial home just some few months later. As it later turned out Barton was behind bars. When he was released from jail he failed to return home and instead fled to Michigan.
He met the new wife on Facebook and after befriending her for some time the two decided to tie the knot. Barton posted the images of the ceremony on the Internet leading to the other wife finding out.
Barton could go to jail for polygamy. The maximum jail term for polygamy is four years.
