London, Feb 15 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A 48-year-old British teacher who allegedly sprayed her Asian students with air freshener after determining that they smelled of curry, has appeared before a disciplinary panel.

Elizabeth Davies was dismissed from her job after it emerged that she has been humiliating the students whom she was supposed to care for. The panel heard that Davies would allegedly tell the Bangladeshi students that “There is a waft coming in from paradise” before spraying the air freshener in the room.

The Sun reported that Davies would make the nursery kids that she was taking care of stand on newspapers when they wet themselves. They would be standing on the newspaper until their parents come for them because according to Davies she was not supposed to baby sit the children. An assistant who worked with her at her class has testified against her.

She has denied all the allegations against her and the General Teaching Council for Wales is currently hearing the case to determine whether she was justifiably fired from her job at Hafod Primary at Swansea.

Davies has 20 years experience in keeping three to six year old children. She was receiving £34,000 every year for her job.
