Dutch prisoner Angelo MacD is too big for his cell

Amsterdam, Jan 28 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Dutch prisoner Angelo MacD has a unique problem on his hands. Apparently his prison cell is too small for him. It ought to be mentioned that Angelo MacD weighs over 230 kg and his height is around 6 feet-9 inches.

He is so distressed that he has consulted his lawyer and has also lodged a complaint in the court because his cell is too small for him. He also alleged in his complaint that he cannot use any of the facilities in his cell properly and is also unable to sleep well.

The prison officials aren’t totally immune to his problems. They have tried their level best to solve them by adding a 2.15 meters plank to his bed. They have also furnished him with an extra mattress.

Angelo’s lawyer, Bas Martens, said to the court officials at The Hague that, “My client just wants to serve a comparable sentence without pain.” Bas wants his client to complete his sentence under house arrest.

Bas also said to BBC News that, “He is 2.07m tall and a meter wide and a meter deep. He is not obese. He is a giant. He even walks like a giant, like out of the comic books.”
