Sep 9 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A pair of thieves, who have been dubbed “Dumb and Dumber” allegedly stole a python and a monitor lizard from a pet shop in Melbourne, Australia, and then proceeded to take the snake to McDonald’s, wrestling with it in the fast food restaurant’s parking lot as terrified customers looked on.

Police arrested the two men after the spectacle, after receiving calls at around 10 pm local time notifying them of the wrestling match which was going on in the McDonald’s parking lot in Melbourne between two men and a big snake.

Detective Sergeant Andrew Beams said to ‘ABC’, “In all honesty, it’s just a case of dumb and dumber. Anyone who gets out there with a one-and-a-half meter python in a McDonald’s carpark, they’re pretty dumb.”

The owner of ‘Totally Reptiles’, the shop from which the python was stolen, was very relieved to have the animal back. “Boris”, as the black five foot python is named, was Jodie Graham’s pet for the last eight years, and finding the snake stolen had been very stressful for her.

“He [Boris] is like a mascot. I was devastated. They could have taken anything else in the shop but they took him. I am just glad to get him back,” she explained. She added that the snake is back in his tank and is unharmed, save for a bit of stress. A sand monitor lizard which was also stolen is still missing.
