DUI suspect drinks in front of cop
March 7th, 2011 - 10:24 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattElyria, Mar 7 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A police officer was shocked to the core when a DUI suspect brought his beer can out of his car and drank it in front of him.
Stephen Supers was stopped by the officer for speeding. The officer then asked him to get out of his car and realized that he might be drunk. When he asked Supers if he was drunk, Supers did not only confirmed that he was but he also brought out his drink and took it in front of the officer. A field sobriety test confirmed that Supers was indeed intoxicated.
The officer later conducted a search in the car of Supers and realized that he was carrying marijuana in his car. He has subsequently been charged with DUI, driving under suspension and possession of marijuana.
He was arrested and released on bail. He is due in court later in Tuesday where he would have to deal with the charges.
The incident happened on Wednesday and attempts to get Supers to comment on the incident failed because calls to his home were not returned. Court records show that Supers does not have a lawyer.
