Drunk Dutchman fills pants, not jerrycan with fuel
July 29th, 2010 - 7:17 pm ICT by BNO NewsHAARLEM, NETHERLANDS (BNO NEWS) — A man in the western Netherlands was so drunk that he filled his pants, not a jerrycan, with fuel at a gas station, police said on Thursday.
The 46-year-old driver at a gas station in the city of Haarlem on Wednesday tried to fill his jerrycan with fuel, but was apparently not successful and instead filled his pants with the fuel. A witness who saw the incident warned police.
Police officers who arrived at the scene arrested the man for driving under the influence and took away his driving license. A breathalyzer revealed he had consumed three times the legal limit of alcohol for driving.
He was released later that afternoon and will face the charges at a later date.
