Disney pepper-spray video goes viral
February 22nd, 2012 - 12:43 am ICT by Aishwarya BhattLos Angeles, Feb 21 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The police had to use pepper spray on a man at the Disneyland over the weekend. A video of the incident shows officers struggling to subdue the man.
The man has been identified as 53-year-old Glenn Horlacher. He could be seen fighting with the police even after the spray had been used on him on several occasions. A woman’s voice could be heard at the background shouting at the man to stop the aggression.
The voice said that, “Do you know you’re at Disneyland? There are kids here! Stop! What are you, drunk?”
The police in Anaheim have confirmed the arrest of Glenn indicating that he has been charged with battery and assault, according to a report from KTLA.
Disney says the incident resulted in the injury of one of their security personnel. A statement from the company revealed that the security man was treated and released from the hospital.
The statement condemned the incident calling it “uncharacteristic.” USA Today’s report stated that, “Disney California Adventure Park issued a statement saying that the security officer was treated at a hospital for injuries sustained in the fracas and released.”
Glenn is scheduled to be arraigned before court later.
