Charleston, Jan 20 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A 52-year-old man who is believed to have committed about a dozen robberies and kidnappings in the Columbia area has been arrested after he tried to rob another shop.

Officers indicated that the man, Brad Grayland Vinson, walked into a Shell shop at 7441 Parklane Road and demanded that the clerk at the shop hand over money in the shop to him. He allegedly told the clerk that he had a gun in his jacket.

When he got behind the counter, the clerk pulled out a Samurai sword that he had been hiding. The suspect then took to his heels with the clerk hotly on his trail. Unfortunately for Vinson, he fell outside the store.

The clerks then pounced on him and beat him hard with the sword. However before the sheriff’s could get to the scene and arrest him, Vinson managed to escape. He went into the woods where deputies later tracked him and arrested him.

Incredibly, all the crimes that Vinson is charged with were committed within just a matter of a week. On certain days, Vinson committed more than one robbery.
