Chef Of A Restaurant In Iowa Fined For Licking And Smooching Toads

August 13, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): Christopher Turla happens to be the chief chef associated with a restaurant named Osaka that is located at Davenport in Iowa. The restaurant had been fined $335 on Wednesday by the local health supervisors. This fine was imposed subsequent to the supervisors witnessing a video that depicted Turla kissing and licking toads in the kitchen.

The video illustrates the chef in conjunction with two little toads on a kitchen prep table at the restaurant. He kisses the toads on a few occasions and then licks them. Subsequently, he positions them in his mouth. Turla’s brother captured these actions in the kitchen on tape and placed them on YouTube, where it was observed by numerous bemused onlookers.

Turla has since clarified that what occurred in the video was meant to be a joke. Nonetheless, the officials of the Health Department of the Scott County were not amused.

Lindsay Gorishek happens to be one of the food supervisors. She has declared that the toads transmit numerous diseases. Turla exhibited thoughtlessness by positioning the toads in his mouth and, subsequently, in his hands on the prep desk. Lindsay has divulged that a large amount of infringements were perpetrated in the video.

The proprietor of Osaka happens to be Yidi. He has stated that he will fork out the fine. He has voiced that Turla is just a witty chap, who requires undergoing more thorough schooling about hygiene in the restaurants.
