Cat Sal Esposito Summoned To Court For Jury Duty!

Jan 15, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Sal Esposito’s family is anxious that he has to appear before the court for a jury duty on March 23. The anxiety is an obvious outcome for nobody likes to attend a jury duty call. However, this case is a slight deviation from the other ones for this time the reason for the worries of the family members is because Sal Esposito is not a person! Yes, the one who has been summoned is a cat!
Trouble surfaced for the Esposito family after Anna and Guy Esposito had listed Sal Esposito’s name on the last U.S Census list. The Esposito couple, however, had told the census officials that Sal Esposito was a pet. It seems like the love and warmth for the pet cat while considering him as one of the family members has now landed the family along with the animal in a legal hassle. According to the Census rule, residents get submitted to the U.S Census list in accordance with their street address. However, it is most likely that officials mistook the cat as one of the neighbors.
As a result, the family received a jury notice at the starting of this month. When, Anna Esposito tried to disqualify Sal Esposito out of the jury service on the grounds that he cannot speak English, to her dismay the ground was rejected by the court. Instead the case will be taken up at the next hearing on March 23. Sal Esposito is slated to arrive at the Suffolk Superior Court for the hearing.
