Colorado, Jan 5 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A 36-year-old woman has some questions to answer after she punched a $30 million painting at a museum. Carmen Tisch reportedly pulled down her pants and punched a painting by Clyfford Still called “1957-J-No.2.”

Police say Carmen was apparently drunk when the incident happened. She has been charged with causing damage worth $10,000 to the oil paint which is valued between $30 and $40 million. The owners are distressed saying just the report of the incident will affect the value of the painting.

The 2.9-meter painting was on display at the Clyfford Still Museum where Carmen attacked it. The museum officials say there is visible damage to the painting but it can be restored.

Though Carmen urinated on herself at the museum during the attack, officers say she did not do so on the painting.

Lynn Kimbrough, Denver District Attorney’s Office spokesperson, told reporters that, “It doesn’t appear she urinated on the painting or that the urine damaged it, so she’s not being charged with that.”

Carmen is scheduled to appear before the Denver County Court on Friday. She has been charged with criminal mischief and is still in jail despite being offered a bail bind of $20,000.
