August 24, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): A bank robber walked into the HSBC bank in the town of Eden, NY on Wednesday completely oblivious of the fact that he had forgotten to put on his mask. The police report that the man was seen with a dust mask hanging from his neck which he had apparently forgot to pull on.

The surveillance camera of the bank returned images of a man walking up to the teller and handing him a note. The note contained a demand for money stated the law enforcement officials in the town of Eden which lies 15 miles to the south of Buffalo.

The man also received a call on his cell phone while handing over the note to the teller. The camera then showed the man simply grabbing the note from the concerned bank employee and running out of the bank. The police now suspect that the call must have come from one of his accomplices most likely the driver of the get away car that had been waiting outside the venue. It is likely that the suspect was informed of his failure to cover the face which resulted in him fleeing even before placing his demands.

The photographs of the suspect show him to be an Afro- American of stocky built, most probably in his 20s. He sported a goatee and was wearing jeans, a white tee shirt as well as a base ball cap which had the words ‘NAVY’ printed on it. There were sneakers on his feet. A dust mask was hanging around his neck as well.

The man remains untraced despite the police station being within a few feet of the bank.
