Baby orphaned by car crash dies on the way to her parents funeral
September 24th, 2010 - 12:02 am ICT by Aishwarya BhattSep 23 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Lucy Schollbach became an orphan when her parents were killed in a car crash. And when she was on her way to their funeral, then she also breathed her last.
It ought to be mentioned that Lucy was born 3 months premature, and hence needed to be kept in the hospital for constant surveillance. Her mother Leah and father Justin used to visit the hospital twice a day, in order to meet her. However when Lucy turned two weeks old, then her parents passed away in a car crash, when they were returning from the hospital after their visit to Lucy.
After the death of her parents, there was a big debate over who should care for the infant. Social services were planning to take over her case and find a solution. However suddenly Lucy’s health took a turn for the worst.
The funeral of her parents was held 1 week after their fatal car crash. And Lucy was also being taken to the service, but unfortunately her health deteriorated very badly and she passed away.
She was being cared for, at the Royal Hospital for Women, and the doctors said that she had died from complications associated with premature birth.
