Sydney, Sep 27 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Australian officials are still on the lookout for the teen whale rider. There were reports that a teenager had climbed aboard a whale as part of a stunt. According to reports, the officials of the Australian Department of Environment and Conservation said that they had received word that a teenager had boarded a southern right whale on Friday. They said that such an activity is extremely dangerous and should not be tried at all.

“Adult southern right whales can reach 18 meters (59 feet) in length and weigh up to 80 tons. If you are in the way of a tail slap or when it breaches, you are unlikely to survive,” according to Mike Shephard, who is a district manager for the Australian Department of Environment and Conservation.

There were also some witnesses to the stunt, and apparently one of them was also smart enough to click a picture of it. The witness then handed it over to ht authorities who say that they will not release the photograph, because they don’t want to give the idea about the stunt to others and also because that photograph is being used in the investigation of the teenage whale rider.

The officials have also imposed a hefty fine, if someone comes in the vicinity of the dangerous whales.
