New Mexico, Mar 16 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A woman in New Mexico has sued Chili’s restaurant after claiming that she found a sewing needle in her food. She believes that the needle was contaminated with marijuana.

Ashley Phillips had ordered ribs and potatoes at the eatery but she was shocked when she saw a 2-inch long needle in the plate along with the food. The needle was immediately taken away by an employee of the restaurant when Phillips protested. According to Phillips, attempts by her and her husband to get the needle and test it failed after the manager refused to hand the needle back to them.

Phillips says her decision to sue the restaurant has to do with the delay in getting the needle tested. The needle was tested but Phillips claim that it was not until 52 days after the incident. Chili has refused to make comment on the incident.

The lawyer of Phillips, Mitch Burns, who filed the papers in court say Phillips and her husband are positive that the needle was used by an employee to clean a marijuana pipe.

The report did not indicate how much Phillips and her husband are demanding from Chili.
