Anthony Garcia is in the net for putting his semen in yoghurt
February 10th, 2011 - 8:43 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattAlbuquerque, Feb 10 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Anthony Garcia is in the police net for putting his semen in a yoghurt sample, which he eventually gave to a customer. The store where he works is located on Corrales Road, at Alameda Boulevard.
The 31 years old worker was caught when his DNA sample matched the DNA of the semen that was found in the yoghurt. The police officials also fear that there might be other unsuspecting customers who took the semen-laced yoghurt sample from Anthony.
“The fact that someone would actually intentionally do that to someone is extremely disturbing. We are looking at federal agencies as well to determine if that is something they will pick up,” Albuquerque Police Sergeant Trish Hoffman said.
Despite the DNA match, the police are still figuring out with what criminal offence they need to charge Anthony. The police officials also had meetings with Food and Drug Administration officials and they discussed the possibility about whether Anthony could be charged under federal food tampering laws. If he is charged under the federal food tampering laws then he could be in prison for a maximum of 6 months.
The police officials also revealed that some other customers have also come forward who think that they might have also unsuspectingly have had a semen-laced yoghurt sample.
