They reportedly harassed him by phone calls and also threatened him in person when he was hospitalized. It reportedly made his recovery difficult.

The 67 year old man was taking his dog to a walk when the unfortunate incident took place. The lawsuit says that he suffered skull fracture and his brain is damaged. The lawsuit has been filed in the Manhattan Supreme court and it also says that person suffered a coma when he was undergoing treatment. The lawsuit also accuses the landlords of installing the air conditioning unit in an improper way. The landlords have not reacted to the development so far. Anthony Franzese was involved in a long feud with his landlords even before the accident occurred. Both the parties accused each other of violating their rights.

The landlords earlier said that Anthony Franzese was a squatter who had to be kicked out. The building department of the city however says that the air conditioner unit was indeed improperly installed and the owners would have to pay a fine.
