Tenby, Wales, Nov 7 (THAINDIAN NEWS) An angler ate his catch way too early. A 25-year-old Welsh missed the opportunity to be in the record books when he caught a giant sea bass which could have easily tipped the scales into the record books when he ate the catch before it could be weighed.

The only evidence of the fish now is a photograph that he took with the catch. After he had eaten the animal, Kurt Price researched his catch on the Internet and realized it could have easily been the biggest sea bass that he has ever caught. The record for the heaviest captured sea bass weighed 19lbs 11oz.

With what Kurt was holding in the photo, some anglers say the animal could weight more than 20lbs. Because he failed to do the two vital things, weigh the fish and keep the evidence, Kurt will not be officially recognized as catching the biggest sea bass.

Obviously disappointed, Kurt said explained, “I caught the fish at about 10pm. I knew it was big and spent about ten minutes reeling it in. It was only when we got home and looked on the internet that we realized it was probably a record.”
