73 years old Doris Birch of Herne Bay alleges that there is a groping ghost in her house
November 21st, 2011 - 9:33 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattLondon, Nov 21 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A 73-year-old woman believes a ghost is haunting her home. Doris Birch claims that the apparition frequents her bedroom and gropes her as she rest. She has called in the Ghostbusters to come to her aid.
The grandmother reportedly said a pastor told her the ghost was a “lost spirit” that is haunting her.
She told the Canterbury Times that, “It’s like an octopus. I was lying in bed when I felt this creepy pair of hands. I kicked frantically and it went away. I’ve tried sleeping without the duvet. But it started shaking my mattress. I even threw the mattress off the bed and bought a new one but it has made no difference. This is very creepy and is giving me the jitters. It’s harassing me. I need to call in the Ghostbusters.”
Birch lives at her Herne Bay home alone. She worked as a home nurse assistant during her active years. She is counting on the help of locals Ray Herne and his wife Beryl to get the creature. The two are ghost hunters and they say they will be able to drive the spirit away from the house using a strategy that they have devised.
The British newspaper Daily Mail reports that the local Methodist vicar has confirmed that Birch approached him for help regarding the ghost but has not been able to help her.
