Delhi Bomb Scare Creates Panic

An anonymous caller who claimed who falsely claimed that a bomb has been in three of the most prominent places in Delhi, the capital of India has caused a wide spread panic and chaos among the residents of the city on Tuesday.
According to the sources an yet-to-be identified caller reportedly called up the police control room claiming that bombs has been placed in three of the most well known places in Delhi i.e. Vikas Minar, Palika Kendra and Safdarjung hospital.
Inside sources reveal that the caller had also claimed that bombs were placed around the New Delhi Railway Station. Reacting to the news, bomb squad and sniffer dogs were sent to the aforementioned areas as the police evacuated the places in question as the search operation went on.
It was soon discovered that the bomb scare was hoax and could be termed as one of the numerous pranks regarding “hoax calls” which seems to be an ongoing trend.
The officials said that they have received two phone calls hailing from a PCO, where the caller stern-fully claimed that the bombs had been place in the aforementioned areas. The hoax call created a ruckus amongst the Delhi police who reportedly went on for a searching spree to defuse the bomb that never existed!
The police has said that they are still searching for the unidentified caller, who played such an irresponsible prank. The panic created was eminent in front of the Safdarjung hospital as the patients were evacuated from the hospital premises, leaving the attendant as well as the patients as a confused lot.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police of New Delhi stated that the anonymous call was nothing but a hoax call.
