London, June 2 (IANS) A woman in New York is suing a store after a $10,000 ring which she tried there got stuck on her finger. It became so troublesome to get rid of it that she had to be taken to a hospital.

Rosy Mizrachi Gindi of Brooklyn, visited the upmarket Chanel store on East 57th Street in New York hoping for a piece of designer jewellery. She slipped on the impressive ring but began to panic when moments later it remained stuck on her finger, Daily Mail reported.

Store assistants chipped in as Gindi tried desperately to remove the ring. She had to be taken to a hospital where she spent more than three hours waiting for doctors to free the jewellery.

Thankfully for the store, doctors managed to eventually remove the ring without cutting it.

But Gindi has now initiated legal action, claiming that store assistants should never have allowed her to try on the ring in the first place.
