Washington , Mar 27 (ANI): Spiderman Tobey Maguire is all set to produce a sci-fi adaptation of a comicbook series called Afterburn.
Maguire will be producing with Neal Moritz’s Original Films, which also produced The Fast And The Furious.
Based on the Red 5 comic, Afterburn is a post-Apocalyptic project by Relativity, which starts one year after a solar flare burns half of the planet, when treasure hunters go back the scorched portion to retrieve valuable artifacts.
The comic is written by Paul Ens and Scott Chitwood.
Maguire has just finished shooting for “Brothers,” another Relativity project. He will next be appearing on the bigscreen in a “Tropic Thunder” cameo.
He will also be producing an adaptation of Japanese animation flick “Robotech” for Warners, along with “Tokyo Suckerpunch” for Sony. (ANI)
