Imphal, Mar 28 (ANI): Militants attacked a security post on the Manipur-Myanmar border late evening yesterday and fled into nearby hills.
According to official sources, a group of fully equipped militants attacked the post manned by the 9 th Battalion of the Assam Rifles at the border village of Behiang in Churachandpur District. They fired bullets at the post and also exploded bombs.
Exchange of fire between the insurgents and security personnel lasted for more than half an hour.
The insurgents managed to escape to nearby hill forest after the attack. (ANI)
