saroleaFeb 16, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The History Channel is known for showing programs that cover various types of antique stuff and places of historic interest. Pawn Stars is one of the most popular shows of this network. In this show, valuable antique acquisitions and objects are pawned. It has a lot of viewers who are interested in those subjects. The latest episode of the show deals with vintage Sarolea bikes. As per the latest reports in the episode of Pawn Star, a person was shown who wanted to sell a Sarolea motorcycle manufactured in 1942. It is a rare model and according to sources only 5 such models exist in USA as of now. They are as popular as the legendary Harley Davidsons.

In the episode of History Channel which featured the legendary Sarolea model, a buyer named Corey got the vintage bike. He had to shell out $4500 for getting it in his hands. The root of the Sarolea motorcycle, a favorite among the bike lovers, can be traced back to Belgium. The brand was set up by Joseph Sarolea way back in the 1850s and the manufacturing unit in Herstal was originally an arms factory. The production of these bikes commenced in 1892. The founder of the firm passed away in 1892 but that did not hinder the growth of Sarolea.

The company went from strength to strength in the hands of the sons of Joseph Sarolea. In the 1920s, the company became famous and its bikes were sought after by many. As one can understand, few models of these bikes remain in running condition but they command huge attention and price.
