Feb 3 (THAINDIAN NEWS) I have been writing an article a day for Valentine’s Day all week. So far I have written about unique gifts for him, for her, for anyone, as well as Valentine Getaways and Valentine Deals. Today, I thought I would focus on the more romantic gifts, the gifts that I have thus far overlooked. Not just simple candy and roses, but gifts that come from the heart. These gifts are a true expression of your love, and how you feel, not just how much you could spend. And now, a poem of my own, that describes what it feels like to wait for “That Special One” to come along:

Waiting

Loneliness, once a vivid place
Taps the window with feather’s touch
Seeking once again for entry
The yearning for You builds so much

Echoes of moments pass
Whispers of dreams yet to come true
All within my hungry grasp
Vivid shadows sound of You

Morning’s kiss a promise born
Daily thoughts are on the wind
Nightly ache in passion’s arms
The continued vigil now begins

Awaiting now enduring hope
The Knight’s arrival on His steed
This rural castle’s prison walls
Hold me while i live this need

Willing fantasy be real
Bringing daydreams forth from night
Soaring on a frenzied buzz
With my wishes now in sight

A Lady in Waiting fervently
Wishing time to hurry past
Until such times as i can touch
All the spells that i have cast

And in this waiting, patience comes
Despite being adamant against such
With no choice but sit and wait
For that which i need so much

A sigh is carried on the wind
With resolution calms my soul
The compensation will be worth the wait
For the One who makes me whole

A lifetime with no love in it
Dark shadows with no sun
Has made it sweeter all the while
This waiting for my One.

My Heart Defined

I began the words a thousand times
To define my heart’s devotion
And yet it seemed the thoughts wouldn’t form
To express such profound emotion

I searched thru books of romance
And I read pages of love
I heard of songs of angels
And gifts from God above

I struggled in vain for the text
That would my feelings show
I even looked through pictures
So that I could let you know

I also attempted to whisper
Those sentiments to your soul
But instead shed tears of affection
As it is my heart that you stole

A simple ‘I love you’ won’t do
Those words too freely used
So instead of saying that phrase
I’ll say these words to you

I breath you, with every breath I take
I hear you and my heart sings
I adore the ground you walk on
You are ever in my dreams

I feel you every moment
I think you every hour
Your voice echoes inside my mind
And sets my soul on fire

I need you for my survival
I crave you to my core
I never existed without you
There was no life before

I long to feel your arms
In their steel embrace of security
For while locked inside your refuge
Is the only time I am free

I want you as I have never
Wanted anything in my days
I will spend the rest of eternity
Being sure you hear me say

I love You with all my being
I love You, I am Yours
I love You so completely
I love You forevermore.
