Oct 25, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The tradition of Jack O Lantern is centuries old and unknown to many marks the beginning of the Celtic New Year. The festival was celebrated by farmers in order to protect their crops from harm by evil spirits and demons who were said to be unusually active on the day of Halloween. The day now famously referred to as “Halloween” had people in the ancient times carve their pumpkins with only a knife at their disposal. A few of the celebrities and politicians in demand this year are Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber and Michael Jackson while Barack Obama and Sarah Palin seem to dominate the scene in case of politicians.
