Washington , May 10 (ANI): Former 007 star Pierce Brosnan has donated more than 1 million dollars for the benefit of the environment.

Now settled in Hawaii with wife Keely and kids, the Irish actor has recently become a devoted ‘green’ campaigner and has even received an Environmental Leadership Award from the Green Cross organisation in 1997.

The Die Another Day star has set up a trust with his wife, and contributes funds to eco-friendly organisations.

Till date, Brosnan has donated over 1 million dollars of his money in order to help the cause, and he has even asked members of the public to donate in their own way.

“People can give back by donating to offset emissions such as planting trees and paying carbon tax when travelling in environmentally sensitive areas,” Contactmusic quoted him, as saying. (ANI)
