Pets are singles best matesFebruary 12th, 2009 - 5:48 pm ICT by ANI
Melbourne, Feb 12 (ANI): For lonely hearts, a little furry friend might just bring on some happiness this Valentines Day. According to the Australian Unity Wellbeing Index, pets have a positive effect on happiness, especially on single men.
It found pets could alleviate the stress of job loss, broken relationship or mortgage default.
Dannielle Hogan said that people not expecting any Valentine may find some companionship in their best friend.
“Once the bond is formed between the dog and the individual it is a very strong bond, particularly for people who live alone,” Courier Mail quoted her as telling Daily Telegraph
“People feel less lonely or they feel they have companionship,” she added. (ANI)
