Pete Doherty uses his blood painting to settle cab bill
September 10th, 2008 - 5:42 pm ICT by ANI ( Leave a comment )Washington, Sept 10 (ANI): Rocker Pete Doherty made a painting with his own blood and sold it off to the owner of his local taxi firm - to pay off outstanding debts of 3,330 dollars.
The Babyshambles singer created the artwork, which he describes as his best one, after a row with his managers shortly before he was due to play at legendary British music festival Glastonbury this summer (08).
The rocker was stunned with his creativity - but he had to hand it over as settlement for his huge cab bill.
“I did it the day I thought I wasn”t going to be playing Glastonbury… I”d just fallen out with my managers, so I decided to stay home and paint instead…, Contactmusic quoted him, as saying.
“It’’s probably the best painting I”ve done but I gave it to the boss of my local taxi firm because I”d run up a GBP1,800 bill,” he added. (ANI)
