This year, the lottery had twice the number of winners than last year, as they doubled the number of available tickets. However, no ticket was left without selling before the drawing.
This year, the lottery gave up over two thousand prize winners. There were 20 - $20,000 Winners; 2,000 - $100 Winners; and 2 - $1 Million Winners. No one had the clue that the mere $10 tickets could change their lives. The 500,000 raffle tickets were sold on September 26, Sunday. The $100 prizes ca be collected from any lottery stores, while $20,000 prizes and the $1 million grand prize wold only be available at the main Lottery office in Airport Road SE, within one year from November 2010. All the relevant information and other procedures of the lottery was mentioned on the official website o the Oregon Lottery. Out of the 500,000 tickets that were sold, only 2222 people were lucky enough.
One of them was a school bus driver Spartanburg County, who claimed the grand value of $1 million. Under the condition of anonymity, he told a famous news paper that he wants to raise his children and pay their school expenses and also do some charity work with the prize money. He also revealed that the students of his bus route would be the first one to suspect that something good has happened to him. He is ready to sport a smile from now on as he knows that lie is going to get settled very soon. However, it is not just the buyers who are lucky, even the retailers wold get a certain amount of commission if they have sold a lucky ticket.
