New York, Dec 22 (THAINDIAN NEWS) In September the Oppenheim Toy Portfolio announced its Oppenheim Toy Awards 2009 on the organization’s newly launched website www.toyportfolio.com. These awards are a celebration of toys that are value for your money and the child’s time as well, because these toys will enhance the productivity of your child’s time.

“During these tough financial times, it’s important to find products that will not be a waste of your money or your child’s time” notes co-founder Stephanie Oppenheim. “We’re delighted to offer parents a new updated website that is chock full of product recommendations, reviews and articles.”

All the toys are considered on various factors like their educational value, safety for the children, and developmental appropriateness, educational value, long-term play value and of course their fun factor as well. The guidelines are strict and quite comprehensive also. All the toys that have won the ultimate Toy awards indeed set a benchmark for the other toy manufacturers too. The award committee also looks for innovative and versatile uses of technology in the toys. But at the same time the classic toys, which have been around for decades, aren’t ignored as every child ought to know about them.

The organization’s top award, the Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Platinum Award is given to the most outstanding and innovative products of the year that pass all the requisite criteria and are a role model for the toy manufacturers. Other notable awards: the Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Gold Seal Award given to highly recommended products; Blue Chip Award to classic products; and Special Needs Adaptable Product Award for toys most appropriate for kids with special needs. Complete reviews of all winners are on-line at www.toyportfolio.com.
