One of America’s most romantic cities - Reno, Nevada
February 11th, 2011 - 8:15 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattReno, Feb 11 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Redbox video rentals has come out with its ranking of the most romantic cities in the United States based on the number of romantic movies that were rented in those cities.
The ranking showed that it was highly unlikely to have a person watching a romantic movie in Laredo, Texas. On the other hand, the city that has the most romantic film viewers is Greensboro, North Carolina.
The company based its rankings on the percentage of romantic comedies rented in 2010 from the various Redbox kiosks. The top ten romantic cities based on Redbox’s criteria are; 1. Greensboro, N.C.; 2. La Crosse, Wis.; 3. Tuscaloosa, Ala.; 4. Buffalo, N.Y.; 5. Green Bay, Wis.; 6. Wausau, Wis.; 7. Sioux Falls, S.D.; 8. Fargo, N.D.; 9. Canton, Ohio; 10. Detroit, Mich.
Redbox also gave the reverse of the list. The other list is the worst romantic cities in the United States according to the rankings of Redbox. On top of the list is Laredo, Texas. Nine other countries make up the top ten worst romantic cities in the world. Eureka, Calif. is ranked the second worst romantic city with Tucson, Ariz. coming third. The fourth position is occupied by Las Vegas, Nev. The top five list is completed by McAllen, Texas with Reno, Nev. At the sixth position. Midland, Texas; El Centro, Calif.; Bakersfield, Calif. and Corpus Christi, Texas completes the top ten list.
