Olivia Wilde files for divorce
March 12th, 2011 - 2:23 pm ICT by IANSLondon, March 12 (IANS) Actress Olivia Wilde has reportedly filed for divorce from her husband Tao Ruspoli after eight years of marriage.
The 27-year-old “Tron: Legacy” actress filed papers in Los Angeles county superior court last week, citing irreconcilable differences with her husband.
The couple had been together since she was 18, eloping just six months after they met.
“It was Olivia’s decision. Olivia got married really young. She’s done a lot of growing since then, just like anyone would. They’ve just grown in different directions,” femalefirst.co.uk quoted a source as saying.
“They have been separated for a while. Her career has exploded and she saw being married is not as much fun. She feels she missed out on being single getting married so young, and wants to sow her wild oats,” the source added.
Tao, the son of an Italian aristocrat Prince Alessandro Ruspoli, and Olivia married in an abandoned school bus in rural Virginia with just two witnesses to the ceremony.
